Cashier
Position: Full-Time
Reports To: Store Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The cashier role will be in an essential position in providing
and ensuring consistent high standard of customer service. The position will process transactions in a
polite and efficient manner on a day to day basis. They will be responsible for properly
communicating with store managers and supervisors to ensure consistent customer
service operations and a comfortable environment for customers and staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Provide superior customer service and is attentive to customers questions, comments, and complaints. Forwarding any immediate concerns to the supervisor on duty.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is important.
• Communicate effectively with other team members when needing assistance.
• Opening and closing the store and completing the duties of opening or closing cashier.
• Follow all AGLC or SLGA regulations.
• Ensuring adequate stocking and facing of the shelves is completed.
• Maintaining a clean and organized store free of debris in both customer and non-customer areas.
• Ensuring proper care of equipment and reporting any repair needs to store management.
• Promote any programs or initiatives in a clear and professional manner with customers.
• Assist with carry outs, stocking shelves and basic cleaning duties.
• Assist in facilitating online pick ups as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Proserve or Serve it right (based on provincial requirements)
• Previous cash or liquor experience an asset.
• Computer friendly
• Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
• Effective communication skills
• Willingness to adapt and pivot as a day evolves
• Must have the ability to work independently and as a team.
• Able to lift to fifty pounds.
• Open availability Monday to Sunday as per business needs

Retail Sales Person Wine Beer and Spirits-
This position reports to department lead and store management for the successful delivery of the role.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The salesperson role will be in an essential position in providing and ensuring a consistent and high standard of customer service. The position will consist of providing excellent customer service and creating an inviting educational customer experience. They will be responsible to grow their own personal knowledge through either internal or external means.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Provide superior customer service and is attentive to customers questions, comments, and complaints.
• Able to assist customers with product selections in all price ranges regardless of the size of the order.
• Communicate and work with other team members regarding placement on the floor.
• Teach or assist in teaching any classes or courses.
• Opening and closing the store and completing the opening and closing duties.
• Following AGLC or SLGA regulations.
• Ensuring adequate stocking and facing of the shelves is completed. Making sure items and displays are tagged properly and full.
• Assist with putting away orders and stocking the shelves.
• Spending time organizing product selections under the direction of a department lead.
• Maintaining a clean and organized store free of debris in both customer and non-customer areas.
• Ensuring proper care of equipment and reporting any repair needs to store management.
• Responsible for participating in inventory counts.
• Promote all store initiatives and programs.
• Cultivate a customer base through strong customer service and regular interactions.
• Pick and check transfers
• Assist on till at none peak times.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Minimum of six months of previous industry experience
• Basic Microsoft Office Skills
• Strong time management skills
• Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Effective organizational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
• Must have the ability to work independently and as a team.
